Panchakarma

Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation therapy. It involves five main procedures aimed at cleansing the body of toxins and restoring balance to the mind, body, and spirit. Prior to commencing Panchakarma, every individual should be prepared by internal as well as external lubrication and sudation therapy. Later on, depending on the dosha involved, any one of following Panchakarma treatments is given. Here's an overview of the five procedures:
Vamana (Therapeutic Vomiting)
This procedure aims to remove toxins from the stomach and respiratory tract. It involves inducing vomiting using herbal preparations. Virechana (Purgation Therapy)
This treatment involves the use of therapeutic purgatives for the elimination of vitiated pittadi dosha from thg body. It has got a lot of therapeutic benefits in disorders of GI Tract, Musculoskeletal Spectrum, Neurological disorders, etc.
Basti (Enema Therapy)
Basti is used to cleanse the colon and is considered one of the most effective treatments in Ayurveda. It involves administering medicated oil or herbal decoctions through the rectum. Basti is beneficial for Vata-related disorders, such as constipation, arthritis, and neurological disorders, musculoskeletal system such as Lumbar Spondylosis, Sciatica, other Arthropathies, disorders of GI System etc..
Nasya (Nasal Administration)
This therapy involves the administration of medicated oils or powders through the nostrils. It is used to cleanse and remove toxins from the head and neck region. Mostly indicated in sinusitis, migraines, and other head-related ailments such as Cervical Spondylosis,Psychiatric Disorders etc..
Raktamokshana (Bloodletting)
This procedure involves the removal of a small amount of blood to eliminate toxins from the bloodstream. It is particularly useful for treating blood-related disorders and skin diseases. Techniques include leech therapy or venipuncture.
